Companion Moony

Hey y'all! Let me introduce you to my four-legged bestie, Moony. She’s a yellow Lab, and just like her mama, she’s a total blonde bombshell! We’ve been inseparable for 7 years now, and honestly, life would be so boring without her. Now, technically, she’s supposed to be a hunting dog. I mean, look at the breed! But let’s keep it real: she’s 90% loving companion and 10%... well, let's call her a "supportive observer" in the field. I probably should have signed her up for some serious obedience training, but we were too busy napping. So, don't expect her to be retrieving too many ducks. She’s actually amazing at sniffing out birds—her nose is top-notch! But the moment she finds one? She just stares at it. She is terrified of actually picking it up in her mouth. I think I know why, though. We have a cat back at the ranch, and I’ve spent years telling her, "No! Don't touch the kitty!" So now, she’s just too polite to grab anything with her teeth. Good girl, bad hunter, right? She’s also a little bit "dreamy." I named her Moony partly because her coat is that perfect pale gold, like a full Texas moon, but mostly because she’s so scatterbrained! I’ll say "Sit," and she’s looking at a butterfly. But hey, that’s why I love her. She keeps me humble out here in the brush. Love you, Moony
