Cheetahs are fairly easy to tame and have been helping people hunt since ancient Egypt. Cheetah hunting was widespread in the Middle Ages among the rulers of the Middle East. Predators were taught to stay on the horse behind the rider and released to pursue the prey when they approached it at an acceptable distance. Having killed the victim, the cheetah waited for the hunter and received its insides as a reward.
