Sreng Cheaheng, head of the department of environment in Stung Treng, told CamboJA that the selling of illegal wild meat has significantly decreased in the province with education and enforcement. But, he said, poaching continues as people rely on it for their income. ‘’As of today, wild meat selling still can be seen but it is in a small amount compared to before. The authorities work every day to observe where people sell these wild meats. However, it is impossible to completely stop it because it is a part of the income of residents living in this province,” he said. Cheaheng told CamboJA that arrests have dropped, with just two people arrested for hunting wild meat last year. ‘’There are different types of wildlife that have been hunted but wild boar and deer are on the top of the list,” he added. Cheaheng said it is hard to stop hunting and deforestation offenses due to the shortage of human resources to patrol. ‘’We sometimes are afraid to patrol at night as those perpetrators have guns and knives. And when we do, we need more rangers to go along,” he said. ‘’There are over 830,000 hectares of protected areas in Stung Treng. This is huge. And we do not have enough rangers to patrol. Therefore, it is hard to stop hunting and deforestation offenses happening in this province.” In 2021, according to the Ministry of Environment, Cambodia deployed 1,200 rangers (42 of them women) to guard 75 protected areas and biodiversity corridors covering 7.3 million hectares in 21 provinces across the country. But there are no significant measures to stop it. I think the authorities are unqualified to do their job,” he said. ‘’The trend of selling-hunting wild meats has been slowing down not because of the effectiveness of law enforcement of the authorities there, but I think this is because there is not much wildlife to hunt like before.” Neth Pheaktra, the spokesman of the Ministry of Environment could not be reached for comment. BirdLife International Cambodia programme manager Bou Vorsak said wild meat consumption remains a critical problem, especially in Stung Treng, Preah Vihear, Kratie, Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, and Kampong Thom. ‘’I think these six provinces are the targeted place for selling and consuming wild meat. Because we often see specifically in Stung Treng where different wild meat has been sold in the market,” he said. Trafficking and consumption has left the country’s wildlife in an extremely vulnerable position, say conservationists. Из года в год Отолово озеро на Шведской Горке становится центром притяжения городских рыбаков. Любители клёва знают – рыба здесь есть. И судя по увеличивающемуся количеству обладателей удочек её немало. Только вот многие рыбаки не в курсе (или не хотят знать?), что в глубинах Отолова озера немало зимовальных ям, где рыба ищет прибежище до весенних оттепелей. Там она, как утверждают специалисты Гомельской областной инспекции охраны животного и растительного мира, может стать лёгкой добычей. Но охраняемой государством. - Любителям лёгкого клёва следует помнить, что с 1 октября по 15 апреля в стране действует запрет на любительское и промысловое рыболовство на зимовальных ямах. Это предусмотрено Правилами любительского рыболовства и Правилами ведения рыболовного хозяйства в рыболовных угодьях республики, - говорит исполняющий обязанности начальника Гомельской областной инспекции охраны животного и растительного мира Андрей Петрусевич. Что такое зимовальные ямы и почему рыбаков так тянет к ним, порой в нарушение природоохранного законодательства? - Сокращение светового дня, понижение температуры воды, уменьшение растворенного в ней кислорода, малодоступность пищи или её отсутствие является сигналом для подготовки рыбы к зимовке, - рассказывает специалист. - Жизненные процессы рыб - обмен веществ, дыхание, реакция на раздражители, замедляются. В естественных условиях рыба зимует в зимовальных ямах или на более глубоких участках водоёмов. Многие виды теплолюбивых особей, таких, как лещи, карпы, лини собираются в большие стаи и направляются туда. Как правило, рыбами ежегодно используются одни и те же зимовальные ямы. Их в городских водоёмах шесть. Для того чтобы ознакомиться с нахождением, необходимо перейти по ссылке на официальном сайте Государственной инспекции, где размещена карта зимовальных ям Республики Беларусь с указанием координат и их границ. За выловленную рыбу придется заплатить ещё и компенсацию, рассчитанную на основании такс, установленных в приложении 9 к постановлению Совмина от 11.04.2022 № 219. Она исчисляется в тройном размере по каждому изъятому виду рыб. Как указывает Андрей Петрусевич, зимовальные ямы расположены и в Отоловом озере. Их наличие подтверждает начальник спасательной станции «Западная» Виталий Самариков. - В этом водоёме находятся ямы глубиной 8 - 10 метров и глубже, - говорит начальник «Западной». – Наши водолазы во время тренировочных погружений их не раз наблюдали. Все они в зоне повышенного внимания спасателей в любое время года. В этой акватории зимуют лещ, судак, густера, плотва, линь. Какая ответственность предусмотрена для тех, кому рыбная охота пуще неволи? - В зимовальных ямах рыба становится доступной добычей. В связи с этим, необходимы дополнительные охранные мероприятия, обеспечивающие предотвращение её массового вылова, - продолжает Андрей Петрусевич. – В зависимости от размера причинённого природе ущерба, на который влияет количество выловленной рыбы, её видовой состав, сроки и место вылова, нарушители могут быть наказаны штрафом, арестом, ограничением свободы на срок до двух лет или лишением свободы на срок до трех лет. Montana FWP confirms CWD in HD 405 Chronic wasting disease (CWD) has spread to Montana’s hunting district 405. Охотникам разрешено добывать зайца-беляка, зайца-русака, белку, куницу лесную, куницу каменную, норку американскую, ондатру и хорька лесного", – сообщили Sputnik в четверг в Белорусском обществе охотников и рыболовов. Там напомнили, что охота на зайца-русака и зайца-беляка, в соответствии с Правилами, разрешается в светлое время суток как ружейным, так и безружейным способами. Охотники должны помнить, что ружейная охота на зайцев разрешена из засады, с подхода, загоном. Допускается применять гладкоствольное охотничье оружие с использованием патронов, снаряженных дробью. My beloved pony of 10 years is 25 this year and has been having some physical changes recently: new dx of Cushing's, EMS, IR and laminitis. (We have a specialist vet and farrier on our team.) I have been spending lots of time on the ground with her and going on walks together, and I want to learn something new with her to keep her mind engaged and strengthen our bond. Chov zubrů v Ralsku na Českolipsku obohatili dva býci převezení z Milovic (ČTK) Chov zubrů v bývalém vojenském prostoru Ralsko na Českolipsku obohatili dva býci přivezení z Milovic ve středních Čechách. Zvířata ve čtvrtek úspěšně vypustili v oboře Vojenských lesů a statků Mimoň v Židlově. Začala tím rozsáhlá výměna zvířat, jejímž cílem je genetické oživení dvou nejvýznamnějších chovů zubrů v Česku a založení nového chovného stáda na Lipně. Akce se týká čtyř krajů, uvedl dnes v tiskové zprávě ředitel ochranářské společnosti Česká krajina Dalibor Dostál. „Po dlouhodobých deštích je terén tak podmáčený, že technika zapadala do bahna a bylo velmi obtížné se ke zvířatům v těchto podmínkách dostat, i přes velmi náročné podmínky se nám podařilo odchytit dva plánované býky a samci ve věku dvou a tří let byli úspěšně vypuštěni v oboře,“ doplnil Dostál. Chov v Židlově patří podle něj k nejvýznamnějším v ČR. „Jsme velmi rádi, že jsme mohli s tamní oborou zvířata vyměnit,“ dodal. Z milovické rezervace odjeli podle něj už v minulosti zubři do rezervace u Rokycan, ale také do zahraničních rezervací ve Francii nebo Nizozemí. Zubři jsou největší volně žijící přežvýkavci v Evropě, takřka tři metry dlouhé zvíře váží až tunu a na výšku může mít v kohoutku skoro dva metry. Ve volné přírodě byli vyhubeni asi před sto lety kvůli rozsáhlému kácení lesů. Poslední volně žijící jedinec byl zastřelen na Kavkaze v roce 1927. Ralsko bylo jedním z míst, kde kdysi žili, Vojenské lesy tam před 12 lety přivezly pětiletého býka, tři krávy a jednu jalovici z Bělověžského národního parku v Polsku. Šlo o součást mezinárodního programu usilujícího o návrat tohoto tvora do volné přírody v Evropě. Součástí aktuálních přesunů zvířat je podle Dostála i založení chovu zubrů na Lipně v jižních Čechách. Právě tam odjedou dvě samice ze Židlova, které doplní další dvě zubří jalovice ze Zooparku Chomutov v Ústeckém kraji a samec z milovické rezervace. Tamní stádo zubrů je se 43 zvířaty největší v Česku. Na Lipně už mají od loňského jara stádo divokých koní, teď je doplní zubři. „Cílem je, aby nově vzniklý chov zubrů na Lipně byl geneticky co nejpestřejší,“ uvedl Dostál. Všechna v současnosti chovaná zvířata totiž pocházejí z pouhých 12 jedinců.
